Meet Our Team

OWNER & DESIGNER

Craig is the design expert at Fairbanks Builders and has a great deal of experience being a home builder in Iowa. He started designing customized homes in high school with his father. Those years of design experience have helped him develop a keen eye for detail and a good ear for listening to customer dreams and desires. Design is the most important part of any building project and it takes much defining and refining to get the plan and details just right.

The bigger part of the equation is Craig’s ability to see the design and budget concerns at the same time.

Craig is a member of the Remodeler’s Council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). This affiliation reflects Craig’s commitment to responsible business practices, quality construction and reliable customer service.

Craig is also one of a select group of professionals nationwide to earn the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist designation (CAPS). This designation identifies remodelers who have been trained to help retirees and older adults continue to live safely and independently in their homes throughout their maturing years.

FIELD MANAGER

Brock has followed his father’s footsteps and he too has a great deal of experience building homes in Iowa, learning the craft from the bottom up as a young man. He oversees making sure projects are completed at the job site in a professional manner – on budget and on time. Brock performs all our written checklist inspections that begin with site evaluation until completion. Having the know-how and skill to do any task makes him invaluable to recognize any issues that need to be addressed. Brock is easy to work with, cares for our customers deeply, and strives to build your home with the highest quality possible. He tries to accommodate all your needs to ensure that Fairbanks’ name is known as the best custom home builder in Cedar Valley.

Craig had very good knowledge throughout all phases of the project from digging the hole to finishing touches and landscape. He was able to stick to the original budget except for extras which we wanted. The prices charged for our extra demands were very reasonable. We had to finish up the landscaping the next spring since the house didn't get finished until the end of December. We've also had him do work after the house was finished since we do trust his work as a contractor.
